Honey Bee, Dolores River Canyon Wilderness Study Area, United States of America
Bee The Change

Species: Honey Bee | Location: Dolores River Canyon Wilderness Study Area, United States of America

Bees--common, yet endangered (some of them). I think there is a general complacency in the status of many bee species when, in reality, they are on high alert. The valuable ecosystem services many bee species provide to us goes unappreciated, but would be dearly missed should these little creatures call it quits and disappear forever. Education and outreach on exactly why we crucially need bees for our own well being, and the well being of countless ecosystems, will hopefully continue to increase.
