Species: Dusky Leaf Monkey | Location: Langkawi Island, Malaysia
This photo was taken during a jungle wildlife tour in Langkawi, Malaysia. We hadn't quite made it to the jungle before we saw a ton of wildlife taking advantage of the resort's abundance of edible plants. Amongst them were the Dusky Leaf Monkeys who we watched climb all the way down from the trees high above us to hang out at this bungalow. Our guide explained that this type of monkey is typically shy, so it was unusual for them to come so close to us. I patiently waited for this particular monkey to look up, and I was ready to capture his amusing expression when he did. I always thought it looked like he had been caught doing his business.
