Species: Pine Marten | Location: Algonquin Provincial Park, Canada
My friend and I took a trip up to Algonquin Provincial Park for a week in the winter. Capturing the glistening snow covered scenery was my goal but on our way through a back area this little guy popped out. Over several days we watched him run about the area in the trees and snow covered forest. A few more came by but this guy stuck around. He was quite the little character and posed for the camera most of the time, playfully running around for hours taking naps here and there. We were fortunate enough to witness him take down a Red Squirrel, fortunate for us of course not so much for the little squirrel.
