Side by Side Siblings

Species: Fox, Red Fox | Location: Warminster Community Park, Warminster, Pa. Bucks County, United States of America

Lighting at dusk is always a problem when photographing foxes. This time I decided to wake up early, drive to our local park and take a chance. I was greeted by two fox pups along the trail. They didn't stay long and scurried into the brush. I walked to my usual spot where two other photographers were already set up with their big gun lenses which I can't compete with. The pups didn't waste their time putting on a show for all of us. Our shooting series was amazing. I was able to finally capture two foxes in the same frame side by side. What's special about this photo is they are each looking in different directions. The lighting was perfect that morning. They felt very comfortable along the brush line and on occasion would step out into the grass filled with dew getting their fur all wet. We had an amazing display of sibling love. I'm finding that even though they play and fight, fox pups can also be very loving and affectionate to one another.
