Lilac Breasted Roller takes flight
Species: lilac breasted roller | Location: Okavango delta, Botswana
Safari vehicle stopped next to a tree where a lilac breasted roller was perched. I set my camera to shutter priority, continuous shooting in anticipation of the bird taking flight and I was lucky enough that it did so. What was a beautiful creature as it sat on its perch, became a spectacular burst of color when it spread its wings!
