Species: Desert Lions | Location: Skeleton Coast National Park, Namibia
These lions are members of the Hoanub Floodplain Pride. They lived along the Skeleton Coast in northwest Namibia. The cubs belong to a group nicknamed “ The Five Musketeers.” Their territory has gotten smaller over the years due to human encroachment. Each of these lions has been killed since this photograph was taken in 2014, as a result of human-lion conflict.
