Okavango Delta Leopard at Sunset
Species: Leopard | Location: Stanley's Concession, Okavango Delta, Botswana
The dry islands that dot the floodplains of the Okavango Delta in Botswana are the home to an amazing density of leopards. This leopard was surveying some red lechwe moving far in the distance from its perch high upon the only tree in the area. The sun was setting off to the left and rays of light bursting through the cloud cover lit the sky behind the leopard with some brilliant color in the last few minutes before sunset.
