Snowy Owl
Species: Snowy Owl | Location: Parker River National Wildlife Refuge, United States of America
I took several trips up to Plum Island in 2014 during a large snowy owl irruption. It took a few trips to find one, but I stumbled across this one on a telephone pole driving into the park. This is a shot of her taking off to hunt for some small rodents in the marsh. I got a few shots of her eating rodents, but they didn't come out as well as this one.
