The Herons nest at a rookery in Venice Florida. The male finds twigs for the nest, then brings them to the mate and she decides whether or not to accept the twig for the nest.

Nancy Ridenour is an artist living in Ithaca, New York. She photographs her own images and adjusts them to produce digital prints of flowers from her garden, as well as buildings and city “scapes”, Florida birds, and zoo animals. Her art is printed on fine art paper and canvas..
Her many awards and exhibitions include the Manhattan Arts International “Art that Lifts Our Spirits” exhibition.
Flowers have always been a source of inspiration in her art. She grew up in a large florist family and majored in Biology at Cornell University. She currently focuses on floral macro images, Florida birds, zoo animals, and architecture.
