Nanny Nanny Poo Poo

Species: Fox, Red Fox | Location: Warminster Community Park, Warminster, Pa. Bucks County, United States of America

I'm an avid lover of foxes. I have been named by my friends as The Fox Whisperer. I spend many early evenings observing the foxes in our local park in suburban Bucks County, Pennsylvania. I have been following the packs for three years now. This photo was taken on a very windy day. Although my lens is quite heavy, I prefer hand held versus a tripod. I was having trouble staying stable, so I pressed myself up against a tree. At first the fox jumped out of the brush and started sniffing around looking for food. I'm aware that she is female as she was a little on the heavy side and already had milk teets. The females in our park have very pretty faces, and their eyes are magnificent to photograph when the lighting is perfect. This beautiful lady happened to look right at me as she was tasting something good. I happened to capture her at the right moment with her tongue partially sticking out. The title Nanny Nanny Poo Poo depicts a child sticking it's tongue out at someone. It kind of made me laugh thinking about young kids doing this. One of my favorite photos.
