Egret, Half Moon Bay, United States of America
Egret Lighting Strike

Species: Egret | Location: Half Moon Bay, United States of America

The Egret scratches the bottom on the rock pool with one leg looking to bring a fish out of hiding. You can see the ripples from this motion are reflected in the Egret's side as the sun sets.

The strike, when it comes, is lightning fast. So fast is causes a vertical plume of water to shoot in the air. In the blink of an eye the Egret has it's supper.

About The Photographer

Started photography when I bought a half decent camera for a safari in Kenya. Got the bug there and just kept going. I much prefer to photograph wildlife than any other subject.
