Polar Bear, Churchill, Manitoba, Canada
Polar Giant Foraging on the Shores of Hudson Bay

Species: Polar Bear | Location: Churchill, Manitoba, Canada

This photo was captured during our Tundra Lodge Adventure in Churchill with NATHAB. Early in the morning on our first excursion on the rover we could see this Polar Bear approaching in the distance...lumbering down the road straight toward us with no apparent cares in the world...other than eating. The closer he approached the more apparent it became that this guy was enormous. I love this shot because as he passed the wind caught the fur of his left front leg making it optically appear even larger than it already was. Massive was the only word any of us could come up with.
