Loon and Chick
Species: Common Loon | Location: Quetico Provincial Park, Canada
Taken in Quetico Provincial Park on an unnamed pond west of Wicksteed Lake. We had just completed a portage and after launching our canoe, came upon this loon and her chick. She was unafraid, and charmed us by "posing" for a number of photos. It was truly an unforgetable experience!

I am an avid amateur photographer, shooting mostly nature and landscapes. I have been interested in photography since in my teens, and it has given me a means to capture lasting memories.
