Wood Duck, male and female, Old Plank Rd. along the Sandusky River, Fremont, OH, United States of America
Mr and Mrs Wood Duck

Species: Wood Duck, male and female | Location: Old Plank Rd. along the Sandusky River, Fremont, OH, United States of America

On this day April 5, 2017 there was a lot of wood duck activity on the Sandusky River, migration had started. It was early morning and the lighting was dark. From my car I could see these 2 on the river chasing each other, wings a flying! They were very active. All of a sudden they both hopped up the bank and unto the tree branch. They hopped from branch to branch for a long time. I was able to take many photos that day. I was so surprised to see this activity. I did not know that wood ducks hopped into trees.
