Kalahari Black Maned Lion
Species: Lion | Location: Kalahari Plains, Botswana
We were staying at the Central Kalahari Plains camp, and out for a game drive. We heard the lion before we saw him, and our guide stopped to wait. Soon, he came out of the bushes and tall grass, stopped, and looked straight at us. I love the shadows of the grasses on his side!
