Monarch Butterfly, Sierra Chincua, Mexico
Monarch Engagement

Species: Monarch Butterfly | Location: Sierra Chincua, Mexico

Our trip with Natural Habitat Adventures was to Mexico to see the overwintering sites of migrating monarch butterflies. On the last day, the sun came out, and butterflies warmed up and began to fly in storms above us, where my husband-to-be got down on one knee and proposed. We later released tagged monarchs at our wedding, to migrate back to where we were engaged.
