Galapagos Short-Eared Owl, island of Genovesa in the Galapagos, Ecuador, Ecuador
Galapagos Short-Eared Owl

Species: Galapagos Short-Eared Owl | Location: island of Genovesa in the Galapagos, Ecuador, Ecuador

This shot of a Galapagos Short-eared Owl was taken on the island of Genovesa in the Galapagos, Ecuador. The owl in the photo had the misfortune of having its right eye injured, so he spends most of his days under the shelter of a crack in the lava rock near the shore in hopes that food will fall through.
