Long tailed weasel, Yellowstone National Park, United States of America
Curious weasel

Species: Long tailed weasel | Location: Yellowstone National Park, United States of America

I was hiking along Hellroaring Creek and sat down along a log to enjoy a packed lunch. The area was covered in rodent holes, and in a few minutes this weasel starting popping up from different ones seemingly to get a good look at me. The incredible speed of the mustelid made it a maddeningly difficult subject, but eventually my efforts during the exhilarating encounter paid off.
