2017 Wildlife Photo Contest

Hyena, Queen Elizabeth Park, Uganda
Hi Mom!

Species: Hyena | Location: Queen Elizabeth Park, Uganda

We found three young hyena pups under a bush and stopped to watch. While we were there, the mother hyena approached slowly, cautious because of our vehicle. Finally, she reached her pups, nursed two of them and greeted her third by licking his face.

About The Photographer

I've been doing serious photography for about 15 years, mainly nature photography. This includes landscapes, flowers, animals and abstracts using water and motion. I travel quite a bit and always have my camera with me!
