Species: Mountain Gorilla | Location: Impenetrable Forest, Uganda
This photo was taken in during our second gorilla trek in the Impenetrable Forest in Uganda. After a 30 minute hike up the hill, we found a fairly large group of gorillas who, fortunately, ignored our presence. We were able to watch them feeding, relaxing and playing. Since we were 15-20 feet away, it was fairly easy to get some really good images.
About The Photographer
I've been doing serious photography for about 15 years, mainly nature photography. This includes landscapes, flowers, animals and abstracts using water and motion. I travel quite a bit and always have my camera with me!
