Species: Alaskan Brown Bear | Location: McNeil River State Game Sanctuary and Refuge, United States of America
It was at McNeil River Game Sanctuary towards the end of the annual chum salmon run. The incremental weather didn't seem to have any effect on the bears nor the salmons. Both species focused solely on their own survival. River was running low and there was nothing but imminent death awaited the salmons. In a blink of an eye this young bear took just one brutal bite. It was the end of life for one salmon but the continual of life for many species that thrive on its fatality.
