This image of Coastal Brown Bears was captured in Lake Clark Alaska. It was a dream to experience these beautiful animals up-close in their natural habitat. Seeing and photographing a sow with spring cubs clamming on the beach at low tide in heavy rain was something I'll never forget.
In this shot, after digging for clams and nursing her cubs, mom had enough and stood to shake the squealing cubs off her back so she could guide them to shore as the tide rolled-in.
