Blue-Footed Booby, Galapagos Islands National Park, Ecuador
Looking for Love

Species: Blue-Footed Booby | Location: Galapagos Islands National Park, Ecuador

This image, taken on North Seymour Island, puts on display the wonderful mating ritual between two Blue-Footed Boobies. The male slowly lifts each foot, one after the next, showing of their beautiful blue color. This is followed by a wing display, a cocked head, and a shrill whistle. This female seemed quite impressed, watching the entire display.
