2017 Wildlife Photo Contest

Species: Big Horn Sheep | Location: Yellowstone National Park, United States of America

What a surprise! On our final full day in Yellowstone National Park we were bid farewell by this duo. We had seen the mom and her baby a few days prior, but at a great distance. Here, however, they crossed the road right in front of us and the kid leapt atop a stone barrier, placing itself on equal footing with its mother. What a wonderful memory!
