Species: Sandhill Cranes | Location: Circle B Bar Reserve, Lakeland, Florida, United States
Although both parents were actively feeding their two young chicks, this parent seemed to be conveying a "special feeling" to this chick. Since Circle B Bar is a preserve area for wildlife, the cranes feel quite safe parading their young about as they hunt for grubs.
About The Photographer
"About Nature" aptly describes the person and her works. Retired in 2000, Beth has returned to her first loves, nature and photography.
She was born in New York, lived in Pennsylvania, Arizona, California and Indiana and since retirement resides in Florida. There she continues to marvel at and capture digitally the magic of wildlife in their native habitats, often trekking by boat and foot to areas not often traveled. She comes by her love of nature and photography quite naturally, following in the footsteps of her parents, Ernie and Florence.
