Hippos, Selous Game Reserve, Tanzania
An even dozen

Species: Hippos | Location: Selous Game Reserve, Tanzania

Do you know what it means when a Hippo wiggles its ears? One of the favorite rides at Disneyland is the Jungle Boat Cruise. The guide tells you that you must be careful when the Hippos wiggle their ears--it means they are going to charge the boat (an urban legand). I never thought that we would be on The Rufgi River in a small boat with Hippos everywhere we looked. They wiggled their ears but they were just curious about us and we had a great boat driver.
