2016 Wildlife Photo Contest

Species: Alaska Moose (Alces alces gigas) | Location: Denali National Park, USA

This photo was taken along the first 15 miles of the Denali Park Rd. As this section of the road is open to private vehicles, there were many photographers/visitors along the side of the road while this cow and her calf were present. Mama was keeping on eye on us all! It became obvious to me the more people that arrived, the more cautious/ watchful the cow became so we left the area shortly after this photo was taken.
