An Atlantic walrus (Odobenus rosmarus rosmarus) mother and calf share their resting spot on an ice floe with some other female walruses. The largest population of Atlantic walruses in the Canadian Arctic occurs in the productive shallow waters of Foxe Basin, Nunavut.
