One of the biggest rookeries of Sea Otters (Enhydra lutris) along the California coast is in Moss Landing, California. It’s a great place to observe and photograph these busy animals. Whether foraging for clams and mussels, wrestling with one another or taking a nap in the sun they are always fun to see.

I’m an amateur photographer who grew up with a passion for hunting. Later in life I have found that it was truly the hunt I loved but not necessarily the end result.
I have replaced my guns with cameras and now have found the end result I was looking for. Having the ability to participate in the hunt, capture the essence of the moment in an image and knowing the animal still lives, is what my soul was missing.
