Species: Bighorn Sheep | Location: Golden, British Columbia, Canada
I saw these bighorn sheep standing on the side of the Trans-Canada highway just outside of the town of Golden, British Columbia, Canada on a trip through the Rockies. They stayed long enough for me to pull over, get the camera out (which, as usual, was just sitting on the passenger seat) and frame up a shot.
About The Photographer
Growing up in northern Ontario created within me a sense of adventure and a love of the outdoors. Friends and I would spend hours throughout the summer, biking, hiking, camping, fishing, boating or swimming in the lake. So, it's no surprise my favourite subjects to photograph are nature and wildlife. Both for their beauty and, the latter, because of the feeling of accomplishment when I get "the shot". There's not usually a way to control the animal, the lighting or the environment so when it all comes together in a perfect moment, and the shutter clicks, it's truly a fantastic feeling.
