Great Grey Owl, Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem , USA
Great Grey Owl: Breakfast

Species: Great Grey Owl | Location: Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem , USA

I found a Great Grey Owl nest in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem! I have followed the family of 5 through spring and all three owlets successfully fledged. This was the adult male (dad) after catching a meadow vole. He kept this one to himself.

About The Photographer

I have had a passion for the outdoors, wildlife, and photography since I was a kid. I studied wildlife biology at the University of Vermont where I was able to continue my photography as a hobby. Currently I am a Wildlife biologist and guide for the Teton Science School- Wildlife Expeditions (an organization partnered with Nat Hab). I enjoy sharing my passions for photography and wildlife with others and hope to continue this career for years to come!
