African Lioness, Serengeti National Park, Tanzania (Africa)
Serengeti Shower

Species: African Lioness | Location: Serengeti National Park, Tanzania (Africa)

Although June is the beginning of the "dry season" in the Serengeti, there can always be a random shower anytime. On this particular afternoon, one such cloudburst suddenly occurred, forcing this lioness from her comfy perch in a nearby acacia tree, and leading her into a field of tall grass. The combination of the raindrops and the muted wet grasses created a compelling scene of this majestic animal in her environment.
