Lord of the Flies
Species: Cheetah | Location: Serengeti National Park, Tanzania (Africa)
Early afternoon was obviously "rest" time for this adult Cheetah, after "lunching" on an unfortunate Thompson's Gazelle. It curled up on a large termite hill in a broad open expanse of grassland, and posed for a considerable length of time. The flies were an added "bonus" to the scene.
