Standing Tall Among the Reeds
Species: Red-winged Blackbird (male) | Location: Jericho Park, Vancouver (British Columbia), Canada
This photo was taken next to the main pond of one of my favourite urban green spaces in Vancouver, Jericho Park. Red-winged Blackbirds are especially boisterous in the spring and become practically fearless with respect to humans. I particularly like this picture because this male was in full breeding plumage and struck a very nice pose among the reeds.
