2016 Wildlife Photo Contest

Iguana, Costa Rica, Costa Rica
Iguana

Species: Iguana | Location: Costa Rica, Costa Rica

While sitting on a grassy patch of lawn by a beach in Costa Rica a few of these beautifully colored very large but friendly Iguanas came over to me looking for some of the fruit I was eating. They were very accommodating when it came to taking a picture of them. I have never seen such color in an Iguana before and have not seen another since.

About The Photographer

I love to travel and I love to photograph the things around me. Things that most people don't see even though they are looking at them. Wildlife is my passion, whether it be in my back yard or in a Mexican jungle. I find it fascinating to capture an animal in its natural habitat. My photographs have appeared in a History Channel documentary as well as several magazines and books.
