Species: Grizzly Bear | Location: Alaska - Brooks River Falls, USA
We were on our way back to camp after a deliriously successful hour on the platform at Brooks River Falls. They had to halt traffic at the bridge because there was a bear nearby in the water. After we were allowed to cross, we looked back towards the bridge and this bear was sitting in front of the most beautifully colored grasses and seemed to be meditating in the glow of the late afternoon sun. It was magical! It was spiritual! I'm glad I have the digital image - but I'm even more grateful for the image that is forever ingrained in my mind and the memories of a truly magical experience!
