Species: Jumping Spider | Location: Upstate New York, United States
Hanging out in the backyard, I noticed a small jumping spider staying relatively still on a leaf so I decided to take its picture. It wasn't until I looked through my macro lens that I noticed he was in a tug-of-war match with his lunch. While the small insect was able to put up a good fight against the spider, ultimately the jumping spider was able to enjoy his meal. This interaction was a reminder that experiencing wildlife and taking wildlife photos can be as close as your own backyard.
