Great Blue Heron male wondering why his chick is acting crazy

Species: Great Blue Heron | Location: Wakodahatchee Wetlands, Delray Beach, Florida, United States

The adult (male?) was just staring motionless while the chick was trying to grab the adult's attention over its smaller sibling not seen in the picture. The chick performed what only can be called a crazy dance. This scene lasted for several minutes until the other adult (female?) arrived and fed the chicks.
