Blacktail Deer Rockn' It!

Species: blacktail deer | Location: Second Beach, La Push, Washington , United States

My first real outing in about 2 years and the first to the state of Washington as a photographer. I spent 8 days in the Olympic National Park and surrounding area that, as of this date, was a trip of a life time. I actually had a list of what I hoped to capture. Deer on a beach was not on the list. I was here for seascape photography so you can imagine how exciting it was for me to see this one (there was a couple of others as well) show up. La Push, Washington's Second Beach provided more than I could have hoped for.

About The Photographer

Cropped dag 1896

I'm an avid nature lover. I gave up my gun for the camera when I was in high school. I started photographing around the rivers, lakes and woods in Florida and realized that this is how I wanted to hunt from now on. Now living in New York City (crazy I know) I have found opportunities to keep up my craft a lot more challenging and becoming a little more focused on people and pets (I like pets...and people too). When I get a chance to go to the woods or parks though it's hard to hold me back because they seem to come only on rare occasions any more.
