Species: black bear | Location: Olympic National Park, United State
My first real outing in about 2 years and the first to the state of Washington as a photographer. I spent 8 days in the Olympic National Park and surrounding area that, as of this date, was a trip of a life time. I actually had a list of what I hoped to capture. My good friend "Mocking Bear" here was the last thing on the list that I had yet to see and so on my last day in the Olympics I decided to give the Hoh Rainforest one last go (went through the day before) and was actually on the way out when I came across him (or is it a her?)!
About The Photographer

I'm an avid nature lover. I gave up my gun for the camera when I was in high school. I started photographing around the rivers, lakes and woods in Florida and realized that this is how I wanted to hunt from now on. Now living in New York City (crazy I know) I have found opportunities to keep up my craft a lot more challenging and becoming a little more focused on people and pets (I like pets...and people too). When I get a chance to go to the woods or parks though it's hard to hold me back because they seem to come only on rare occasions any more.
