Peregrine Falcon ( Falco peregrinus), San Diego - Coast Walk Historic Trail, USA
Practice

Species: Peregrine Falcon ( Falco peregrinus) | Location: San Diego - Coast Walk Historic Trail, USA

Raising the offspring, just like human, requires a full time work from feeding to teaching them how to survive independently. When the birds start to fly (fledgling), the adults teach them how to fly, how to maneuver in the air and especially how to hunt. This is one of the scenes where the female and a fledgling practice hunting. I personally like this frame because it shows the action in its actual natural habitat.

About The Photographer

Cropped lydang

My passion for nature photography started a long while ago. But I hardly found much free time to pursue it since work and raising family always got in the way. Today, I still have my day job but the pressure of raising the children has diminished so every free minutes I have, I spend for my passion.
