Big Fella

A few years ago, I was lucky to travel to Churchill, Manitoba, Canada to see the powerful and beautiful polar bears. This particular bear, named "John" by the guides, seemed to
impart strong emotions with me. He seemed to be an older, mature male with a few fight scars on him. I took this photo while he was sleeping under the Polar Tundra vehicle. He was a particularly-large bear, but I think I captured his "gentle" temperament.
