2016 Wildlife Photo Contest

Lion/Sampson, Serengeti National Park, Tanzania
Invisible

Species: Lion/Sampson | Location: Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

We were on a trip to Tanzania in the summer of 2015. This male lion allowed us to take many pictures, but then decided he had had enough and went over to lie down in the grass so we "wouldn't see him." His "girlfriend" is next to him, but of course not in view here.

About The Photographer

I went on a trip to Africa last summer with my son. It was the most incredible journey I have ever taken. The animals were very cooperative when it came to photography, and our guide had an amazing eye for cats in trees! I am not a professional, but someone who has what I believe to be beautiful and soul moving pictures of African animals. It is hard to choose only three. Thank you.
