Species: Racoon | Location: Backyard in Tigard, Oregon, United States
We have an old oak tree in our backyard with the platform from a tree house embedded in the lower branch. There is a lot of moss and flowers growing on the platform. One day I looked up and there was this racoon starring at me. I quickly got my camera and was able to capture this shot at nearly eye level.
About The Photographer
When the kids left home my wife and myself decided we needed to find some hobby to enjoy together. We both liked photography so we joined a camera club. She has a commercial art background and I have a construction engineering background. The combination really helps as she helps with composition and I help with F stops etc. We have been doing photography with our camera club for over 20 years now. Not professional though we do sell an occasional print. We find our photography makes us look for the beauty in our world more and slow down to enjoy the shot more even if we don't always succeed.
