This photo was taken on a particularly sunny day on the tundra. The morning light bathed the polar bear with an almost halo effect. The light accentuates the movement of the bear as it walked towards us.
About The Photographer
I recently returned to photography upon my retirement from education. After taking thousands of photographs this past year I have come to the realization that my favourite subject matter is the play of light in nature. Despite having several cameras I have found that my favourite is my automatic digital camera. It has proven to be the most effective in capturing light and movement in a fleeting instant.
