Species: Gentoo Penguin | Location: Bleaker Island, Falkland Islands
I love visiting the Falkland Islands in the summer time. January and February are when penguin chicks are all around. I can spend all day viewing their antics. One of the most comical and lively scenes are crystallized in this photo: when an adult penguin comes back from the sea (presumably well fed), baby chicks would run for its own feeding, hoping to get the adult to regurgitate its food and into their tummies. Here an adult Gentoo had 2 baby chicks on its tail.
