Species: Red fox (Vulpes vulpes) | Location: Yellowstone National Park, United States of America
On an overcast day in Yellowstone National Park, we set out to explore the Lamar Valley. Not far into our drive we notice a few trucks pulled over at a trail head with several people using spotting scopes. Upon inquiring with them, they had been watching a pair of red fox exploring a log pile, but it appeared that the foxes had left. As we headed back to our car, out popped the foxes again, walking up and down the logs. They would stop every once in a while, look at each other as if they were deep in thought, and then proceed examining the logs for a potential breakfast.
About The Photographer
I’ve been focusing my photography on nature and wildlife since 2014, focusing on habitats local to the Washington D.C. and Mid-Atlantic area. An additional interest is in using photography to get rescue dogs in the DC area adopted quicker, whether that is by putting their photos on social media or by providing photography services to the rescue organizations for them to use as a fundraiser.
