Alaska Brown Bear, Brooks Falls, Katmai NP Alaska, USA
“Catch Your Own”

Species: Alaska Brown Bear | Location: Brooks Falls, Katmai NP Alaska, USA

As the Grizzlies become satiated, they only eat the highest protein part of the salmon, leaving most of salmon “bits” for the seagulls.

About The Photographer

I was introduced to digital SLR technology during a winter photography tour to Yellowstone NP in 2006. The potential of digital techniques inspired new interests in nature and wildlife photography. During the past 10 years, I've participated in numerous photographic workshops in the Oregon Cascades and coast, Yellowstone, the Colorado Plateau, interior and coastal Alaska, New England, and the Galapagos. Closer to home, I regularly photograph wildflowers and wildlife of favorite locales, including Inks Lake state park and the surrounding Hill Country.
