We were on the Wilds of Borneo tour and my goal was to see a male orangutan in the wild. We had seen several along the way however none close up. Only from a distance in the rainforest canopy. On this day, we were on a river cruise searching for wildlife. All of a sudden we saw the King himself. He was so animated and happy to be tearing apart a branch and snacking on it. We watched him for quite some time. His strength was amazing. It was so rewarding to see him so close to the river's edge - we had amazing views. His orange fur glowed in the sunlight. It was a highlight of our trip to see him in his glory. He was completely oblivious to us and in his glory.
