I came upon this at least ten-foot iguana while at the beach in Cozumel, Mexico. I was astounded by its stillness, basking in the sunlight. I just got closer and closer until I thought I better not push my luck. No zoom was used here. I just talked to him in a whisper, probably looked crazy, but I felt a great connection. We just stared at each other. I examined every part of that colorful skin, those feet, that tail, It was an extraordinary experience, being that close to such a huge ancient looking lizard. One of my top ten animal sightings.
